The property is owned by a former professional tennis player who suffers from allergies and her attorney/entrepreneur husband. Both have traveled extensively around the world and have come to really appreciate a good night’s sleep free from allergens and other complications that so often have been a problem in traditional accommodations. Experiences of 5 star hotels overlooking requests such as no down (feathers) in rooms before arrival, "Historic hotels" with a history of dust and/or mold, heavily fragranced detergents on towels and sheets (which now are being shown by mainstream doctors to be carcinogenic by the way), harsh (and harmful) chemical cleaning products, non smoking rooms that reaked of smoke, rooms that have allowed pets (particularly a problem when renting rooms other than standard hotel rooms like apartments etc.) If you have allergies we are sure you have your own lists!
We can’t promise to prevent all allergies as that would be impossible, however, we do promise to take allergies seriously and eliminate common ones as much as possible. We are happy to accommodate many special requests that other lodgings typically will not, as well as answer questions to the best of our ability as to what has or has not been in the rooms.
